Sunday, April 22, 2018My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Duane. God comfort us and give us the courage to bear our pain. He does so mainly through his Word, the Bible, and through the gift of prayer. Paul tells us that God lovingly gives us His Word, so that through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. Additionally, through heartfelt prayers, we can come to experience the peace of God that excels all thought. Roman 15:4; Phil 4:7. Visit JW.org.

Wednesday, December 27, 2017Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I first met the big guy when he came to my Boy Scout troop meeting in the 60's in Castleford. He also gave me my first speeding ticket as a stupid teenager. Years later, as a deputy with the Twin Falls Sheriff's Office, I had a lot of interaction with him, backing him up on traffic stops, arrests and bookings. I always remembered him as tough, strict and one of the most ethical officers I knew. Everyone he arrested or had interaction with in his job ended up his friend. I'm sure for Sharon, Sue and Greg, it wasn't the easiest growing up in Buhl with a father who was a trooper, but he was truly an inspiration to a lot of people, and a superhero to me.

Wednesday, December 27, 2017Duane has always been a father figure to me! I know he is in Heaven with Jesus, and the Love of his life. I could fill up the page with how he has encouraged me, inspired me, supported me in time of need, and been a friend. He will be missed by many! He has always walked the walk and talked the talk of how a man should live his life without saying a word, but by example, for others to follow. Well done good and faithful servant!
