Jaime “Willie” Dane passed unexpectedly in Twin Falls, Idaho, on June 9, 2016 at the age of 60.
Willie is survived by wife Deenie Dane, daughters Jessica (Randy) Carpenter, Katie (Andy) Kauffman, Blair (Clint) Thompson. He is also survived by his brothers Kevin (Debbie) Dane, Chris Dane, Daniel (Trudy) Dane and sister Amy (Clay) Dunlop, his beloved grandkids Zoey, Cale, Olivia, Noah, Josie, Sam, Micah, Cooper, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dudley and Virginia Dane.
Willie was born on June 12, 1955, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Dudley and Virginia Dane. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1973 and joined the Army Airborne. After basic training he married Deenie and they lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and then Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1977 Jessica was born and shortly after they returned to Twin Falls. After returning to Twin Falls Willie began working for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in the service department and eventually earned the position of general manager. In the coming years Willie and Deenie welcomed Katie in 1979 and Blair in 1981. When he left Pepsi, Willie created many opportunities for himself and his family in his own businesses. Deenie and the girls will remember him as a hardworking, smart and driven man. He loved to write letters to the editor and make life miserable for telemarketers. His grandkids lovingly referred to him as Poppie or Potpie and loved his Sunday breakfasts, playing on his computer, eating his prize tomatoes and koolickles.
Willie was a smart business man, and always had a plan for what was to come next. He loved to golf and spent many days on the course with great friends. He rarely passed up a chance to have a “cocktail” with friends and was always the best host at barbeques on his back patio.
A funeral is scheduled for Monday, June 13th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Pastor Roger Sedlmayr will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Willie’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Immanuel Lutheran School or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
