Wanda Mae Ulrich of Twin Falls, precious momma and grandmother, loving sister, devoted friend, and loving wife, age 74, died April 15th, 2018, after a valiant 26-year long battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her brother Glenn Lattin of Pocatello and was proceeded in death by her parents and 3 siblings, Leroy, Gerald, and Billy, and one grandchild, Declin.
Wanda was born to Ruth and Eugene Lattin on January 3rd, 1944 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Twin Falls Senior High in 1962 where she enjoyed being a part of the drill team. She also worked as a waitress at the Depot Grill while attending high school. There she met her soon-to-be husband, John, who worked at the flour mill next door. They were happily married for 55 years.
After their wedding in 1962, they had 3 children, Connie Thomas of Las Vegas, Michael Ulrich of Meridian, and Nancy Lee of Twin Falls. Together they have 7 grandkids and 5 great grandchildren.
For over 25 years, Wanda worked as a seed analyst for Roger's Brothers in Twin Falls where she laughed often and made many good friends. Wanda was a subservient wife (NOT!), devoted mother and grandmother, an excellent cook, and an amazing hostess. She didn't rest until everyone in the house was well fed and in bed. Wanda loved working in her garden and had a legendary green thumb.
For over 55 years Wanda was a faithful member of the Twin Falls Church of Christ where her potluck dishes were always a hit. She was tenacious, feisty, and fearless in the face of her many medical trials and never gave up. She just chose to move on.
Wanda's memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday April 21st, at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls. A viewing will be held on Friday April 20th from 6 to 8 pm. Donations to the following charities in lieu of flowers would make Wanda smile: Relay for Life, Children's Cancer Network, or the Magic Valley Humane Society.
