Victor Harold Nelson, 78, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away February 6, 2025, at his home in Twin Falls.
Victor was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, May 12, 1946. He was the second child of two children born to Harold and Aleen Nelson. Victor grew up south of town across the road from the love of his life, Teri O’Dell. Victor graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1964. After high school, he joined the Army National Guard and attended the College of Southern Idaho where he studied television and radio repair.
Victor married Teri O’Dell on October 29, 1966, and settled in Twin Falls where they raised their sons, Scott and Brett. Teri stayed home with the boys while Vic worked at Mt. Bell and was a member and past president of the CWA.
Vic loved his family, motorcycles, hot rods, hunting, fishing, gardening, and building. He retired from Mt. Bell at the age of 51and bought a second home in Laughlin, Nevada where he and Teri spent the winter months. Victor took up golf and spent most days on the golf courses around the valley. Teri always made sure to send him golfing with homemade cookies for him and his golf buddies. He had three holes-in-one before he had to give up golfing due to his declining health. He also loved to paint landscapes on anything from canvas to rocks.
Victor was diagnosed with dementia in 2019. He became non-verbal three years later. Even when he couldn’t speak, he still listened and laughed until he cried with friends and family. He was loved by all of us.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Teri, his children Scott (Christee), and Brett (Stephanie), four grandsons, Nicholas, Jonah, Andrew, and Dylan and one granddaughter, Kindal, and two great-grandsons Maliki and Nicco.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
