Vernal C. Simmons

Twin Falls- Vernal C Simmons, 85 of Twin Falls, ID passed away December 31 quietly at his home with his family by his side.
Vern was born in Ririe, ID. He served in the United States AirForce in The Korean War. In 1976 Vern married Janet Ulrich and enjoyed raising her two sons.
In 1976 he was an instructor at CSI in the farm diesel program. He started working for Twin Falls Truck and Equipment and later retired from NorthWest Equipment as a diesel mechanic. He was very passionate about his mechanic work. After retirement he really enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He never new a stranger and everyone will remember him for his great stories, humor, his love for God and dogs.
Vern is survived by his wife of 40 years Janet Simmons, his sons Richard (Jamie) Ulrich of Hailey, ID and Russel (Deanna) Ulrich of Kimberly, ID. His grandchildren Alyssa, Shane, Breeana, Dyllan, Braeden, and Jaxson. His great grandchildren Miles and Henry. He had children from a prior marriage Chuck, Jay, Karen, and Jean. His siblings Cleo, Betty, Dennis, and Gerald. He was proceeded in death by his parents, daughter Ann and two brothers Lyle and Gene.
The family would like to thank Caring Hands, Shannon, Amanda, and Destiny. Also St. Luke's home health and hospice for the loving care of our Husband, father, and grandfather.
A viewing for Vern will be held from 6-8pm, Monday, January 4th at Rosenau Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 5th at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 960 Eastland Dr, Twin Falls.
