It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Velma Jean Armstrong 10/31/2024 at St Lukes Magic Valley Hospital at the age of eighty-one. By her side was Husband Raymond Armstrong, Daughter Peggie Wade and Grandson Paul Worsham. Velma was born on June 25th, 1943, to Charles and Carrie Hathaway in Paul, Idaho. Velma met the love of her life and beloved husband Raymond Devere Armstrong of 66 years. And with that marriage there were six kids, twelve grandkids and many, great grandkids.
Velma was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and her love for the lord, and the support for her family and friends.
Velma worked at Costco for 16 years and made great friends while working there. Whenever she made trips to Costco for Groceries, you could just feel the love when she walked through the door and through the store. She was very loved out there.
October was a fun month for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She made popcorn balls for Halloween, and delicious pumpkin cookies. She really looked forward to the kids coming over for trick or treat and telling her how good the treats were.
Velma always loved hugs and kisses when her kids and grandkids came to visit. She did not like the good buys at the end though.
Velma is Preceded in death by, Father Charles Herbert Hathaway, (Stepdad) Glenn Draper and Mother Carrie Draper, Sisters Mary Ellen Pullmen & Helen Ida Runyan.
