Tomas Jose Angel Cuellar, took his last breath the early morning of Wednesday, January 29th 2025, succumbing to pancreatic cancer. He was at home surrounded by his loved ones. Taken much too soon, Tomas lived a life dedicated to family values and his work ethic.
Tomas' story starts on July 13, 1973 born in YA, Washington. Tomas moved to Twin Falls, ID when he was in middle school. This was where he met the love of his life Connie Cuellar which started the life that he lived for; dedicated to what he always called “his little family.”
Tomas was a devoted husband to his wife Connie of 33 years. Knowing each other since 7th grade, they had only been dating for 6 months before getting married at the Twin Falls County courthouse on July 15th 1992. They started their family at the young age of 18.
Tomas began work at Lamb Weston when he was 18 years old to provide for and support the family he began. Throughout his 32 years, he worked his way up to Maintenance Team Lead, living by the motto “I can sleep when I'm dead”, as he worked graveyard the majority of those years. Although work was a priority in his life, family always came first. Work never took him away from attending events for his children. Whether it was school activities, sports, vacations, conferences, or hobbies. Tomas was also a great “Papa” to seven grandchildren whom he loved supporting as he watched them grow, sharing some of his favorite hobbies including: fishing, camping, gardening, and football. He also enjoyed grilling, hanging out with dear friends, traveling, working on his 1972 Chevy truck, “The Tin Can”, and most of all, late nights with the love of his life, enjoying music and playing Rummy.
Tomas was a wise man, having gone through many trials and tribulations throughout his life. All of which created a foundation to build his character and morals on. His character was resilient, showcasing one of strength, courage, determination, and independence. Paired with strong morals of love, vulnerability, loyalty, understanding and honesty. He was a role model and inspiration to all of the lives he touched.
Tomas made it a priority to engrave the belief that family is the most important asset in one’s life. He passed this on to his children and grandchildren. He lived by the motto, “Your cards are dealt to you the day you’re born, we are just playing our hand, that's life.” One last reminder Tomas left for his loved ones was that “Life must go on, no excuses.”
Tomas' early departure from this world has left a hole within his family that will be filled through everlasting memories, traditions, and values that are engraved in each one of their hearts. In honor of Tomas Cuellar his family asks all guests to wear blue in his memory.
Tomas is preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Cuellar Sr., his mother, Tommie Cuellar, and his twin brothers, Victor Cuellar and Francisco Cuellar. He is survived by his wife Connie Cuellar, his five children: Tony, Robert (Whitney), Cassandra, Tomas, and Victor. His 7 grandchildren: Carson, Naela, Xavier, Aiyana, Amaya, Silas, and Kyce. His brothers: Gregorio Cuellar Jr., Cruz Cuellar, Andrew Cuellar, Ruben Cuellar, Michael Cuellar, his sister Maria Cuellar, and many nephews and nieces.
