We are saying goodbye to the oldest little kid we know. Always unexpected antics and much joy he left us with. Tom fought his long battle and passed away peacefully. We were graced enough to have family close by through this. Tom was born November 26th 1954 in eastern Idaho. His father Ronald “Bud” Williams and his mother Charlotte Johnson Williams.
His first mother passed away while he was very young and he lovingly took in Maureen Williams as his new mother when Bud remarried. He married Alison Hart, his high school girlfriend and they had Jacob and Heather. A few years later he married the love of his life Tammy. He never outgrew his childhood but had children that miss him dearly, his survivors, Jacob, Heather, Damien, Siobhan and Tyler, whom Tom is going to meet.
Most of Tom’s adult life was working in the family business of Williams Markets. He was fascinated by small town markets and wanted to own and operate one in a very small town in Idaho. He managed the market in Filer and was a member of Kiwanis. He was proud of his association with NA and his membership in Sober Riders motorcycle club. He was always up for an adventure and rode his HOG until he was physically unable to.
He loved the outdoors and camping with his kids was a joy to him. He loved the mountains and the snow and strapping on a pair of skis. That’s what you did back then, strap them on.
Yellowstone was a favorite retreat for him and children. No year was complete without that trip. No matter how many times he went he was always fascinated. If he weren’t a small town market man he would have been a geologist. McCall was also a loved place and no summer was complete until the family had beach time and boat time at McCall.
He loved his wife, children and grandchildren above all else. He is so proud of the men and women they have turned out to be. They are his legacy, and nothing could make Tom prouder.
Thomas Williams is survived by Tammy Williams, his wife, son Jacob March (Carrie) their son Andrew, daughter Madelyn of Castleford, daughter Heather Mitchell, her sons Alex and Ryan of Boise, son Damien (Lindsey) of Twin Falls and daughter Siobhan. He was also survived by brothers and sister, Ron, Mark, Tim, Chris, Joanna, their spouses and many nieces and nephews, his parents, Bud and Maureen Williams and several loving aunts and uncles.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Johnson Williams , his grandparents and his beloved son, Tyler Lynn Williams. A Celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 22 at Rosenau Funeral Home. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
