Teresa Brandebourg, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 6th 2019 due to the progression of dementia.
She was born July 9th 1938 to John Doris and Sabina Belle Fredrickson in Declo, Idaho. She grew up in at the Minidoka Dam. She attended school in Acequia and graduated from Minidoka High School in 1956. She married Richard Brandebourg August 4th 1964. Within this marriage came their four children. They later divorced in 1992. She worked at various jobs including Koto’s Café, the local phone company, Bank and Trust, babysitting, Adams Appliances, Best Western, Cactus Pete’s, and Maxie’s Pizza. She served in many capacities for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where the love of her Savior grew.
She loved her family more than anything. She kept an eye out for her neighbors; sharing treats with the little ones. We are grateful that her neighbors kept a close eye on her. She had an obsession with chocolate. She loved to bake goodies and always had a yummy treat to share. She despised spiders and the pesky weeds in her yard. She could be found outside working in her yard just about any time of the day or season.
She is survived by her sisters Carol Trott and Beth Chugg, her children Jonna Williams of Las Vegas, Debbie Brandebourg, Scott (Traci) Brandebourg and Amy (Sam) Sites of Twin Falls. Her grandchildren Kayla Trevino, Mishay Trevino, Christopher Hamilton, Kyle Williams, Matthew Grosshans, Trevor Brandebourg, Dustin Slatter, Skyler Schaeffer, Emma Sites and Brayden Sites and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Dori and Sabina Fredrickson, brothers John, Lynn, Jerry and Ken, and sisters Dee and Leila as well has her granddaughter Jenny Scott.
We are grateful for the staff at Ashley Manor in Kimberly and their tender care for our mother. We give a special thank you to the staff at Encompass, Dr. Jared Helms and especially Laura Brinker, mom’s nurse, who loved her as much as we did.
