Silvia was born November 15th, 1961 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas (MX). She was the daughter to Margarito and Dolores Hernandez. Silvia and her nine siblings were moved to Brownsville Texas, where she met her first husband Jorge Vela Sr. They fell in love and married at the age of 20 & 21. Soon after, she gave birth to her first born, Jorge Vela Jr. Eventually her little family made their way to Twin Falls, Idaho to reunite with her parents and siblings.

Anyone who knew Silvia knows that she was very passionate about her job, she loved children. She always had a smile on her face.
Silvia loved to dance in her younger days. She made many of her memories attending local dances and concerts here in the Magic Valley. Silvia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
