Shirley Ann Wetzstein

Shirley Ann Wetzstein, 91 passed on to see her Lord on Monday October 7, 2024 at The Canyons Retirement Community. She was born in Buhl, Idaho on August 1, 1933 to Thurston Pence and Dorothy Iden Pence. She attended school and graduated with the class of 1952. That same year she married her sweetheart Bill Wetzstein. Together they had 4 beautiful children; Lynette (Larry) Conway, Kent (Pam) Wetzstein, Karla (Steve) Rumsey, and Larry Wetzstein. Shirley and Bill were married for 68 years when Bill passed away on January 31, 2019. Shirley was a member of the Buhl Christian Church. She enjoyed playing the organ or piano for church, weddings or funerals. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Shirley and Bill spent many winters in Arizona visiting good friends Debbie and John Samples. Shirley is survived by her children Lynette of Twin Falls, Kent of Hagerman and Larry of Boise. She is also survived by 11 grand children,18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her parents Thurston and Dorothy, her husband, daughter Karla and son in-law Steve Rumsey, a granddaughter and her brother Bob. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024 at 1pm at Rosenau Funeral Home with cookies, punch and coffee to follow in the community room. Inurnment will take place at the West End Cemetery in Buhl at a later date.
