On Friday, March 23, 2018, our beloved Sheri Renee Borg Ferree of Twin Falls, ID passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to complications from a pulmonary embolism. Sheri's family is reeling. Sheri was 46 years young.
Sheri was born on August 25, 1971 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, Ca. She was the oldest child of Gail and Don Borg Jr. of Meridian, ID. Sheri's early years were spent in San Jose and Monterey, Ca., and Salem, Oregon. The family moved to Twin Falls in 1987, and Sheri graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1989. After graduation, Sheri joined the U.S. Navy and achieved the rank of Petty Officer 3rd class. While in the Navy, she served for a time with her brother Don Borg III, where she met and ultimately married Don's friend Gene Ferree. After retiring from 20 years in the Navy, Gene and Sheri settled in the Twin Falls area.
On March 26, 1999, the light of Sheri's life was born, her precious daughter Mikayla. Sheri and Mikayla were lifelong best friends and were inseparable. Sheri was a live wire, and all those close to her loved spending time with her. She was repeatedly referred to as a Mom to everyone she came into contact with, not the least of which was the Job's Daughter's family who embraced Mikayla and Sheri, and they embraced right back, particularly because of the work in the community for which the "Jobies" are known. Sheri and Mikayla's selflessness and compassion knew no bounds as they were champions for all people and animals in crisis. Sheri embraced life, and her wit and humor will be missed by all.
Sheri is survived by her large loving family and many friends. Her loving husband Gene Ferree and daughter Mikayla of Twin Falls, her parents, Gail and Don, Jr. of Meridian, devastated by the loss of their daughter, friend, and confidant, her Grandmother Joyce Freedman of Campbell, Ca., her Grandparents Don and Joan Borg of Jerome, her loved and trusted siblings, her brother Don and Valerie Borg of Twin Falls, and sisters Shane and Tess Borg of Letha , and Christen and Joseph Thompson of Boise. Sheri leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews, and will be missed and forever cherished by all.
Farewell ma cherie.
