Ruth Ann Sellers, 82, formerly of Hazelton, Idaho, died peacefully in her sleep while visiting her son Larry in Hilo, Hawaii, following complications with pneumonia on April 10, 2020. Ruth Ann was born to Clarence and Nancy Murphy, joining her siblings Virginia, Wesley and Alice. She later welcomed two additional siblings Laura and Roy. Ruth Ann was born on the family homestead and lived most of her entire life on the family farm. As a child she attended school at Hazelton and Valley High School. When she was 17 she married the love of her life Larry Sellers. Together they brought five children into the world in just seven years: Larry, Peggy Jo, Carolyn, Dana and Bart. Her children brought her great joy and lots of work! Ruth Ann spent her time helping Larry on the farm, being a housewife and mom, and always worked toward expanding her knowledge. She had a great love for people and family. Family was so important to her that she was always planning get togethers and outings, making a special point to get the family together when others came in town from out of the area. Ruth Ann’s thoughtfulness and caring personality drew people to her. She loved as deeply as she was loved. Ruth Ann is survived by her four children. Larry (Cindy) Sellers, Carolyn Nelson, Dana (Mike) Covington, and Bart Sellers (and friend Lori); her sisters Virginia McBride, Alice Clements, Laura Kurtz, and sister in law Nadene Murphy; her 10 grandchildren Kris (Robin) Sellers, Shara Berta, Anthony Sellers, Ryon (Brooke) Covington, Danielle (JT) Ramondetta, Charlie Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Kristi (Josh) Bashline, Amber Sellers, and Ashley Sellers; her 24 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Those who proceeded Ruth Ann in death were her husband Larry of 64 years, her daughter Peggy Jo, parents Clarence and Nancy Murphy, her brothers Wesley and Roy Murphy, grandsons JD Covington and Andrew Sellers, great granddaughter Akasha Rose Nelson and son in law Mike Nelson. Cremation was performed by Dodo’s Funeral Home in Hilo, Hawaii. A celebration of life will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls on Saturday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. Please wear a mask if preferred.
