Reta M Pitts born on June 12, 1939 in Redfield, Kansas to Merle and Doris Stark. In 1956 she married the love of her life, Melvin Pitts. Reta passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in her hometown of Twin Falls Idaho. Reta suffered with dementia, but her family was grateful that she remembered everyone until the end. Reta is survived by her two daughters Jan (Bob) Capps and Nomie (Jeff) Dreier, her two grandsons Lance (Lonnie) Paul and Tucker (Jennifer) Johnson, and her 6 great grandchildren Samantha, Taytum, Tenley, Paxton, Payson, and Shelby. She adored her family they were always her first priority. Reta became a 4-H leader because her girls loved horses. She was a town girl and knew nothing about them, but decided if they were going to have horses she would learn along with them. She hauled her girls , their horses, and their friends all over to horse shows and rodeos. Reta was always her family’s rock and will be missed. Reta was crazy about her grandsons as well as her great grandkids. They were always her pride and joy.
Reta loved traveling the country with her husband in their rv. They loved going to Arizona and Yellowstone National Park and took the entire family there many times as well as Disneyland and Hawaii. Reta always loved working with Melvin baling hay and working in her yard. Reta left a lifetime of wonderful memories behind for all her family and friends.
