Richard "Rick" Wilson left this world on March 6, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Rick was born June 7, 1943 to Richard Wilson and Eileen Robinson (Wilson) in Oilton, Oklahoma. Rick lived in Oklahoma, Texas and California during his childhood years.
On November 21, 1960 at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Navy with his mother's blessing. He was discharged on November 13, 1963.
Rick, for many years worked in the trucking business driving semis. This was a profession he dearly loved. He worked for over 18 years for Car Quest which later became Advanced Automotive. Rick enjoyed the people he delivered parts to. One business owner named Rick "Turbo" which Rick thought was so funny.
Rick truly enjoyed camping and fishing with his friends and family and spent many summer weekends at Big Sand Bay, Magic Reservoir, Stanton Crossing, Murtaugh Lake and the South Hills. Rick especially enjoyed fishing with his granddaughter Kassidy Wilson. He was so excited for her when she caught her first fish on her "Barbie fishing pole". Rick declared that Kassidy had caught a fish bigger than "Papa" could.
Rick is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janet, son Ricky Wilson (Naomi Angel Wilson), granddaughters Kassidy Wilson and Laney Wilson, grandson Milo Wilson, great grandson Gabriel Peralto, daughter Mariann Carroll and grandson Nathaniel Carroll of New York. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Wilson of Texas.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Richard Wilson, Eileen McCormick and David McCormick.
