REITA FERN SIMPER
Reita departed from her loving family and returned to her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2023. Reita was 79 years old.
Reita was born in Rupert, Idaho on November 15, 1943 to Lee and June Bartholomew, the third of five siblings. She attended school in American Falls. After school, she moved to Burley, Idaho where she met the love of her life Ordel Simper. They were married on October 15, 1963. She was dedicated to her marriage and she was Ordel’s wonderful wife for almost 61 years. Reita was the truest example of a rancher’s wife. She was a very hard working and talented woman. She could fix anything with her trusty bag of tools. She loved horses and rode and trained some of the best. She was known for her work ethic, great cooking, green thumb, quick wit, and fierce stubbornness and strong will. Reita loved all animals and spent her life caring for them. Reita leaves a wonderful example behind for her children and grand-children of what it means to live a life of hard work. She will be missed and never replaced in our hearts and minds. Rest easy Reita because your work here is done.
Reita is survived by her husband Ordel Simper, her children Bonnie Simper and CL (Rhoda) Simper, her Grandchildren McKayla Palacio, Justin Larue, Lexi Simper, and Carson Simper. Her siblings Alta (Jay) Holstine, Leon (Sharon) Bartholomew, Carma Buss and several nieces and nephews.
Reita is proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Bonnie Rae, and daughter Teena Palacio.
