Pearl Anne McMullin

Pearl Anne McMullin, 85 of Twin Falls passed away on Friday December 5, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home. Pearl had a strong faith in Jesus as her savior and is now at home in Heaven for her first Christmas. She was born on August 2, 1929 in Conde, South Dakota to Vern and Florence (Gula) Walter. The family moved from South Dakota to Baker City, OR where she graduated from High School. Pearl attended North West Nazarene University where she got a degree in Teaching. She taught in Unity, OR in a two room school house. She married Frank McMullin on March 25, 1951 in Baker City, OR. They moved to Twin Falls in the spring of 1952 where Pearl helped on the family farm just north of town. In the Twin Falls area, she substitute-taught elementary level classes for the Twin Falls School District from 1963-1978. She was a full time kindergarten teacher at the Twin Falls Christian Academy from 1978-1991. Pearl also taught music from 1969-1991 at her home and TFCA. Pearl and Frank’s home has always been filled with music and their love for their Lord and Savior. Together they shared their talents with others by providing musical accompaniment at the First Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church, where she played the piano. Pearl was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Pearl is survived by her husband of 63 years Frank McMullin; four children Sandra (John) Brennan of Twin Falls, ID, Steve McMullin of Twin Falls, ID, Pamela (Stan) Harding of Tacoma, WA, David (Janice) McMullin of Thorton, CO; sisters Helen Holecek of Long Prarie, MN, Mary Johnson of Baker City, OR, Ruby (Mike) Carroll of Columbia City, OR and sister in-law Joyce Walter of Baker City, OR. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; brothers John Walter, William Walter and sister Marjorie Hendrickson. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Lisa and the rest of the Hospice Visions staff for their loving care for Pearl. Memorial contributions may be made in Pearl’s honor to the Twin Falls Christian Academy. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
