Patricia Louise Gaddis (1936-2024) passed away peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho on July 13, 2024.  

Patricia was a strong talented woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Iowa on June 18,1936 to Erwin Peterson and Mildred Schenk. She grew up on a small farm in the Swedish town of Stanton, Iowa. She attended school in Stanton, where she met the love of her life, Melvin Gaddis. Pat and Mel started dating when they were 15. They were married at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton, Iowa on December 12, 1954, at the age of 18. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Inglewood, California where they started their family. Patricia had two children, Steven Chris and Tamara Louise. Shortly after having her two children, they moved to Garden Grove, California in 1960, to Anaheim, California in 1968 where they lived for 21 years, moving to Northern California in 1989 where she resided in Nevada City/Grass Valley area for 32 years until moving to Twin Falls, Idaho in 2021 to the present.  

Patricia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother . She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her many friends. She had a talent for many crafts including, sewing, quilting, candle making, but most of all was her love for tole painting. She had a great talent for painting and went on to open a studio where she could pass on her love for tole painting and teach others to love and enjoy painting as well. She also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her golf group.  

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Erwin Peterson and Mildred Peterson Kneip. She is survived by her husband Melvin Lee Gaddis, children Steven Chris Gaddis/Robyn, Tamara Louise Wolf/Rick, her brother Dale Peterson/Carolyn and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Patricia will be missed greatly by all who knew her. We will love you forever, until we meet again.
