Norval Wildman

Norval D. Wildman, 87 of Chandler, AZ, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Norval was born May 21, 1929 in Jerome, Idaho to Lamont and Annie Jane (Davis) Wildman. He attended schools in Jerome, Idaho and was active in football, boxing, baseball, Live Wire, student body Vice President, mixed chorus, J club and pep club. During one summer while in High School, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service and was given special recognition for his alertness, initiative, and excellent sense of direction to guide smoke jumpers. On June 11, 1947, Norval married Rozella Alldritt in Twin Falls. Following graduation Norval worked for Idaho Power, Hoosier Furniture, Fashion Floors, and was manager of J.J. Newberry. He served three and a half years in the Idaho National Guard and was Honorably Discharged as an Sfc June 24, 1951. He continued his education taking courses at the University of Idaho, Business Law at Moscow, Idaho, American Bankers Institute, U.S. Savings and Loan League at College of Southern Idaho, and Real Estate Appraisal. He worked for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Twin Falls, and was manager of Burley and Blue Lakes Office. He received community service awards from Boy Scouts, March of Dimes, United Way, Governor's Commission, serving as President of the Burley Chamber of Commerce, President of the Idaho School Trustees Association, President of the Regional School Boards Association, District Governor of Exchange Club, Chairman Hospital Foundation Committee and member of the Governing Board of Cassia Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Treasurer of Lions Club International, and Alternate Member of President's Federal Task Force Committee for Financing Public Education. Norval enjoyed traveling, skiing, camping, bowling, fishing, golfing, and hunting. At a young age Norval dedicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. This served as the foundation that guided him for the remainder of his life. He lived his life with unblemished integrity and honesty loving to serve. He was a teacher, youth leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Elder, and Administrator. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, two daughters, Diana (Jonathan) Walker, and Pamela Weddle; three granddaughters, Tanya (Tod) Burdsall, Heather(Tony)Kostura and Hillary Walker; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Gwendalyn; one sister Lamonne Reece, one sister-in-law Darlene Wildman and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim and Don. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls.
