Norman Fred Yost, age 80, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 after fighting cancer and heart disease. Norm was born January 6, 1944 in Santa Cruz, California to Date Ellwood Yost and Afton Gibson Yost. He was their first child.Norman grew up in Bancroft, Idaho working on the family farm. In high school he played football and was on the wrestling team. After going to college for a year at Snow College in Utah, he was called to serve a LDS mission in Australia. He returned home from his mission in July, 1965 and started college at Brigham Young University. There he met his wife, Cindy Robbins. They were married in Las Vegas April 24, 1966 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 24, 1967. After graduating from BYU, Norman moved his family to California where he pursued and built a career in pharmaceutical sales.Norman is survived by his wife and five children: Brian Yost (Christina), Michelle Crist-Aguiar (John), Chad Yost (Shannon), Lacey Chandler (Lee) and Courtney Yost, eight grandchildren:Travis, Tyler, Alexandra (Joshua), Logan, Avery, Elle, Odysseus, Everly and two great grandchildren: Melody and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister, Janet, and brother, Date.We want to express our appreciation and thank the dedicated St Luke’s doctors, nurses and Hospice for the kind attentive care provided to Norman. To our family, friends, and neighbors, thank you for all your support, thoughtfulness, kindness and love.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the LDS church, 2680 Elizabeth Blvd, Twin Falls, ID 83301 with a viewing at 3pm and services at 4pm.
