NICOLAS ANDREW DEVINE
AUGUST 16,1996 – FEBRUARY 1, 2022
Nicolas “Bigs” “Little Nicky” Andrew Devine went to go hunt and fish in the sky with our Lord on Tuesday Feb. 1, 2022.
He was born in the middle of the night on August 16, 1996 as the middle child. He said he kind of liked being the middle child because he had an older sister to look up to and a younger brother to watch over and protect. He was so excited to have a little bro.
Nic was raised in Twin falls where he attended Morningside Elementary, O’Leary Jr. High, and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 2014. He enjoyed playing sports growing up including basketball, baseball and soccer. He played football for one year and had an interception in the final game and was carried off the field by his team. He was the littlest kid on the team. Nic absolutely loved hunting and fishing since he was a toddler. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time in the mountains, on the lake, and on the river (camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking and scouting). His love for the outdoors brought out the happy free spirit that defined him.
Nic and Jasmine met and from that day on they continued Nic’s love for fishing and hunting and were already making sure their son Hagen was being raised with the same passion for the outdoors. Becoming a father was one of Nic’s greatest accomplishments and we know he will be watching over Hagen as he continues to grow.
Nic loved his job and looked up to his boss Thayne Jensen who was his mentor. He really loved working in the construction business. His work crew was his family.
Those who knew Nic, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who always enjoyed and cherished his company.
Nic will be missed everyday by his Father Tim, Mother Tonya, Sister Lexi (Jane Petruzzelli), Brother Morgan, His love Jasmine Tragis and their son Hagen, his loving grandparents Michael Devine and John & Myrna Merell, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, the entire Tragis family and many many great friends.
We know Nic is now with Great Grandma & Grandpa Gugelman, Grandpa Ernie Austin, Grandma Sue Devine, Papa Mack Clark & Grandma Char Clark, Uncle Gene Pullman, Uncle Wayne Gugelman, Uncle Jeff Devine and Aunt Jennifer Devine.
Nic was selfless & put others first, giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was fun loving, outgoing, had a caring spirit and a generous heart. When you think of Nic, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. He will be missed more than any words could express but he will be forever in our hearts until we meet again.
A celebration of Nic’s life will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 @ 2pm at the Twin Falls Reformed Church, 1631 Grandview Dr. N, Twin Falls, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at any Farmers National Bank in his name.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Rosenau Funeral Home and Crematory.
