Nellie Bernice Hill passed away quietly on March 10, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born May 4, 1919 to John Charles Stapely and Eliza Ann Tanner Stapely in Oakley, Idaho. She came into the world with a pretty face and a sunny personality and these remained with her to the end of her life. She loved helping people and giving gifts to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nellie attended school in Oakley and burley, Idaho. She trained as a nurse at St Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She worked as nurse for many years in the Magic Valley area. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served, many callings in Relief Society, Primary, and doing extractions at the genealogy library. Her hobby was oil painting. Many of her beautiful paintings decorate the homes of her family. Nellie leaves behind her two sons, Larry (Ruth) Berg and Robert (Kathy) Berg, 7 grandchildren, Cindy (Tom) Rosen, Vickie Jenkins, Anita (Mark) Wayment, Becky (Steve) Burnham, Jennie (Jay) Ostvig, Robbie (Shawna) Berg and Nancy (John) Holland. She also has 21 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Archie Stapely, four sisters, Lavella Pace, Velva McBride, Audrey Harper, Donna Cunningham and her husband, Richard Hill. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 15 at the Eastland Dr. LDS Chapel, 847 Eastland Dr. N., Twin Falls. A time for viewing and greeting will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
