Monica Marie Engelhart

Monica Marie (Broden) Engelhart passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 11, 2021. Monica (Monie) was born on February 23, 1923 to Andrew and Elizabeth (Kitch) Broden on the family farm in Starkweather, North Dakota. Monica Attended schools in Sullivan Township and Starkweather High School class of 1946. She went on to attend nursing school at Mercy School of Nursing graduating in 1949 as an RN. She met the love of her life, Eddie Engelhart and they were married on September 26, 1949. Monica worked as a nurse in the Devils Lake, ND area and there they started their family. This union produced seven children. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her four children Karen (Don) Picotte, Bonnie (Clay) Stone, Susan (Chris) Pease, Tom (Terry) Engelhart; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Leo (Bernice) Broden, sister in-law Josephine Niel, brother in-law Kenny (Ginger) Engelhart. Son in-laws Ron Wilper and Jesse Ponce as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband Eddie, children Rita Wilper, Rick Engelhart and Tracy Ponce. Brothers John, Nick and Walt Broden and also her parents. A catholic memorial service will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls, ID on Thursday April 15, 2021, visitation with family from 6-7pm, service and celebration of life from 7-9pm.
