Mitchell Roy Jeske was born March 8, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. He passed away May 3, 2024 at the age of 64 after a brief battle with cancer. He was the second son of Manfred and Shirley Jeske. Mitch spent his first 7 years in Odgen, Utah. They moved to Wendell in 1967 and then moved to Kimberly in 1971, when Mitch was 11 years old. Mitch spent the rest of his life in the Kimberly, Idaho area.
From a young age Mitch demonstrated a strong work ethic, dedicating himself to hard work and long hours. He apprenticed with his father, mastering the art of sheet metal fabrication. Mitch established Southern Idaho Sheet Metal and did business that provided industrial fabrication services in the Magic Valley community and beyond, for over 20 years. In the last couple of years, Mitch has worked for ADM, where he enjoyed working with a team.
Mitch was very talented mechanically; he could take apart and put together pretty much any engine. Daks Clark called Mitch once because he couldn’t get his car started. Mitch came over to take a look. Daks said he reached way down in there and did something and then told him to try it. It started right up. Mitch was always willing to help out. In 2002, being the big brother that he was, he went to work helping Matt build his house.
Mitch met Melva in February 1996. They have been companions for the past 28 years. Camping, 4-wheeling and boating were always the highlights of the summers. He truly loved to share those times with family and friends.
Mitch was preceded in death by his parents, Manfred Jeske and Shirley Jeske, his brother Michael and his great-nephew Chance Rowe. He is survived by his Brother Mark (Lorie), Matt (Sarah), and sister Michele (Daks). His nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
