Mildred Maxine Ewing

"Milly" Mildred Maxine Ewing went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 with some of her immediate family by her bedside. She was born on May 6th, 1931 to John and Victoria Winkle in Filer, Id. Milly attended school, and graduated from, Filer, Id. She met Charles "Gaylord" Ewing at a Christmas dance while he was on leave from the Navy in 1950. They were married on June 21st, 1953 in Twin Falls, ID at the Lutheran Church. She followed him to San Diego and Long Beach, CA until his discharge. They then moved to Buhl, ID where she farmed, gardened, worked for several doctors, and raised her family. During her lifetime she enjoyed her garden, flower beds, horse racing, taking meticulous care of her home, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children Steven (Kathy) Ewing, Peggy (Jason) Smith, Dennis (Christine) Ewing; grandchildren Ray (Angela) Ewing, Rachel Ewing, Justin (Angelina) Smith, Jacob (Ashleigh) Smith, Chelsia (TJ) Newton; great-grandchildren Allie Ewing, Tyler, Elijah, and Madison Pereira, Jaden and McKenzie Smith; great-great grandchildren Josh, Jacob, Emberley, Paisley, Oakley, and Myles Pereira, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2024 at Rosenau's Funeral Home in Twin Falls, ID at 12:00 p.m. Viewing will be held Sunday, March 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Rosenau Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service. The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Visions Home Health and caregivers at Willow Place for the excellent care they provided Milly. Their outstanding support and professionalism was greatly appreciated.
