Michael J. Tremblay was suddenly taken from us on January 19th in Kauai, Hawaii.
Mike was born on April 14th 1952 in Tacoma, Washington to Todd and Jane Tremblay. After graduating from Twin Falls High School, he graduated from the University of Idaho and then received his Master's degree in Soil Science from Utah State University. Mike began working with his father where he developed his passion for agronomy, which allowed him to work with many wonderful people in the valley. He was affectionately known by the title of Dr. Dirt.
Mike was a single parent and raised two children Christopher and Peter (Bernadette) Tremblay. Mike married Jody (Craig) Tremblay and gained his daughter Jennifer (Tim) Browne. Mike found joy in many aspects of life, especially his grandchildren; Jade, Jocelyn (Joe), Julien, and Isaac. He enjoyed reading to grandchildren, gardening the summers away, fishing, cooking for family gatherings, and getting a rise out of Jody.
Mike also found family among those he spent time with on the river, behind the wheel, on muddy walks through many fields, and at breakfast club. He also cared for the pets he loved over the years, the soil he nurtured, and his delicious potatoes that Idaho is so famous for. He loved sharing the bounty of his garden with others.
Mike is survived by his wife Jody, his children, his grandchildren, his furry friend Shadow, siblings, Robby, Jimmy, and Teresa. He was also survived by his in-laws LeRoy and Joyce Craig and several nieces and nephews, along with many business partners, coworkers, and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a nephew, and many other beloved individuals.
Such a passionate man will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael and Jody Tremblay Agricultural Scholarship at CSI or to the SLMV Health Foundation.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, February 3rd at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1231 Washington St. N at 1:00PM. Following the services there will be a reception at Canyon Crest. Services are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
