Mary Meyer (Bengoechea)

Mary Petra Meyer (Bengoechea), 69, of Twin Falls passed away on May 12, 2023. She was born in Boise on October 27, 1953 to Joe and Catherine Bengoechea.

Mary and her family moved from Boise to Twin Falls in 1961 where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1972 where she was involved in multiple school activities. In 1973 she welcomed her first child, Dawn, and in 1989 she had Joseph. She spent some time in California with her brother Ray where she attended college classes.

Mary became a truck driver in 2000 for several years before she had to quit due to medical reasons. She resided in Salina, Kan., until 2019 when she moved back to Twin Falls to be with her children and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister-in-law Rose Chambeau, and a niece and nephew. She is survived by her brother Raymond Chambeau of Twin Falls, daughter Dawn Bengoechea of Twin Falls, son Joseph (Georgia) Meyer of Jerome, and grandchildren Andrew Brown, Adalae Meyer, Gattlin Meyer and Jonsie Meyer. Mary is also survived by her niece,Wendy (Jack) Hunsaker of Hereford, Texas.

A celebration of her life will be held at Shoshone Falls on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Her children invite family and friends to stop by and share stories and or pictures of her from 11 am to 2 pm. Please meet at the upper loop picnic areas that have red and green tables. We will have plenty of water and her favorite beverage.
