Our devoted and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, Marvin Leon Anderson, passed away Sunday morning with his family by his side. Marvin was born in Kimberly, Idaho on July 9, 1938 and resided in the Hansen area most of his life. In his early school years, he attended Excelsior Grade School even riding his horse to school from time to time. After that period he went on and attended school in Hansen thru the 10th grade and then left to help on the family farm. In the early sixties Marvin needed a change and went into construction for his brother-in-laws in Washington and found himself moving from the top of a haystack to the top of the Seattle Space Needle. After ten years in construction, he realized farming was what he enjoyed and decided to move back to Hansen to raise his family and farm. Before retiring at the age of 72 he helped his son, Randy, at KN Turf for the last eighteen years. Marvin worked hard in every aspect of his life and passed these valuable life skills to his children and grandchildren. His favorite times were spent with his family, camping, kicking back by the fire, and watching old western movies. Marvin had a great love for the Lord and deeply loved and missed his wife, Shirley, whom passed away seven years ago. They were married for 47 years. Marvin will always be loved, remembered, and missed dearly by his family and friends. Marvin is survived by his children; Randy (Karen) Anderson of Kimberly, Idaho, Sondra Anderson Fisher of Hansen, Idaho; brothers and sisters, Doreen (Kenny) Veneable of Twin Falls, Idaho, Bill (Rita) Anderson of Othello, Washington, Barbara Mischkin of California and Karen (Bob) Wright of Kimberly, Idaho; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Bill and Eva Anderson (parents), Shirley Anderson (wife), and Owen Beard (great grandson).
