Luella Rose was born in Minnesota, May 18, 1922 to Roy and Tempa Ellenwood. Roy and Tempa moved to Buhl, Idaho to avoid tornados and continue farming. Luella graduated from Filer High School. On February 4th, 1949 Luella married Jack Schmidt and moved to Kimberly, Idaho. There he farmed and she worked at Twin Falls Bank and Trust until she retired in 1984. To keep her busy during retirement, she worked as a cook at the Ageless Senior center in Kimberly until the age of 89. She was an active member of the Kimberly Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her 4 boys: Royle Hardy (Thu), Brian Schmidt(Betty), Darrell Schmidt (Cindy) and Kelvin Schmidt (Verda) and her many grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice Visions for the wonderful care in Luella's last days. Luella's service will be Friday, March 2 at 11am at Rosenau Funeral Home with graveside service to follow.
