Linda Sue Bowen

May 17, 1957 — May 14, 2013

Linda Sue Bowen was born to Warren and Maxine McClimans Bowen, on May 17, 1957 in Twin Falls, Idaho. After an illness that she fought with much dignity, she left this world to be with the love of her life, Jesus Christ, on May 14, 2013. Linda lived in Twin Falls the majority of her life, making many many friends through her work and through her church. She worked for the Twin Falls City Fire Department for the past 32 years until March of 2013 when deteriorating health forced an early retirement. It was a grand affair with Linda being honored by the Fire Department and city officials and the Mayor of Twin Falls. Many showed up to show their love and appreciation for a job well done and life of devoted service. Linda loved her job and had a special bond with her co-workers. The passion of Linda’s life was music and singing. She had a beautiful soprano voice that many throughout the Magic Valley were blessed to hear many times over the years. She was very involved in all parts of the music ministry at First Assembly of God, where she attended most of her adult life. Always faithful she served in many capacities including Sunday School secretary. But her passion was singing and she appeared in every annual Singing Christmas Tree performances for many many years. Her beautiful voice will be greatly missed. Always a kind and gentle spirit, Linda loved life, her job, her church family, neighbors, and her beloved cat Kitty Poo. Linda leaves behind many loved ones, family and friends alike. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Warren and Maxine Bowen, her paternal grandparents, William and Vanessa Clemans Bowen, and her maternal grandparents, Ira Allen and Ollie King McClimans. She is survived by many cousins on both sides of the family and too many wonderful friends to count. Services for Linda will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls with Pastor Randy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday May 20, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Dustin Godfrey and the staff at Rosenau Funeral Home.
