Arlene LeDora Rayborn, 89, died peacefully on April 13th, 2021 at Cedar Draw Living Center in Filer. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 15th, 1:30 p.m. at the Twin Falls Church of the Nazarene, followed by graveside services at Sunset Memorial Park.
“Lee” was born May 14th, 1931 in Ashland Oregon to Walter and Nettie Jensen. The family moved to Santa Monica, California where Lee was raised. Following graduation from high school in Santa Monica, she attended Northwest Nazarene University where she met and married Mel Rayborn. Lee and Mel were called to the ministry and became a team in pastoring Nazarene churches in Springville, CA; Ivanhoe, CA; Bellflower, CA; Benton City, WA; Atwater, CA; Pomeroy, WA; Kimberly, ID; and Parma, ID.
Lee was an accomplished pianist, and used her talents as part of her and her husband’s ministry wherever they went. In addition to being a church pianist, she taught piano to children at each location along their journey. In the Twin Falls area, Lee had as many as 70 students per week and had several instances of 2nd generation “grand” students.
Lee will be remembered for her quick wit, and her life of service. She and her husband had four children and retired in Twin Falls.
Lee is survived by her children Carol Burkhart of Atlanta, Georgia; Cathy Lynch of Twin Falls; Randy Rayborn of Twin Falls; and Rick Rayborn of Park Ridge, IL, seven grand-children, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one sister.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday May 14, 2021 at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls from 6-8pm with Funeral services being held on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Twin Falls First Church of The Nazarene, 1231 Washington St. Twin Falls. Interment will follow at 3pm at Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of financial donation to Hospice Visions, Inc., Twin Falls. The family also requests that in consideration of others, face / breathing masks be worn if attending the funeral.
