LaRue Mitchell April 15, 1944-January 6, 2017
LaRue Mitchell's life can be summed up in one word…Love. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Unique also describes our mom, she wasn't afraid to be who God created her to be. She lived her life with laughter, strength, love and a cute hat to top it off!
Mom did not complain about her life, she would just pray and say, "God knows and He will work it out". Mom never said a bad word about anyone. She saw the best in everyone and she encouraged others through her words and actions.
What a legacy of love she leaves but mom would want you to know that her love was not her own but from Jesus. She would share Jesus's love with family, friends and strangers.
Mom's life was not easy; she grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado right after the depression. Her father was at war in her younger years. LaRue met Bill Dutcher in the 50's and they had two girls, Laura Dutcher and Darla Eames.
The last 20 years she was married to Mike Mitchell. They drove an 18 wheeler for many years as a team. They enjoyed the open road and seeing the many states they traveled.
The last nine years she worked at comfort keepers where she cared for many people from all walks of life. She loved every client and co-worker; her job fulfilled her because she was doing what God created her for, loving on others.
Mom's reunion in heaven was with her mom and dad, June and Shanty Arthur. Her grandson Steven Wybenga and many family and friends.
LaRue left behind but will see again one day, her husband Michael Mitchell, sister in law Natalie Carr, daughters Laura Dutcher (Mikkel Sherry), Darla Eames (Jack Eames), Sisters Carol Yancey (Ed Yancey), Ann Everitt (David Everitt), Christine Jenkins (Brad Jenkins). Grandchildren Amanda Wybenga, Sarah Edwards (Skyler Edwards), Jeremiah Dutcher (Kim Dutcher) and many great grandchildren.
Please join us to celebrate her life on Saturday Jan 28, 2017 at 2pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 1231 Washington Street, Twin Falls. Please honor our mom by wearing your favorite hat and if you have a memory please write it down and bring it too!!!-- Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
