Larry E Sellers, 84, formerly of Hazelton, Idaho died peacefully at home on May 27, 2019 with family by his side. He was born in Jerome, Idaho to Frank and Alta (Prentice) Sellers. The family moved to Hazelton where he started his schooling. In 4th grade his family moved back to Jerome where he finished his education. At the age of 16 Larry started working for the canal company in Hazelton. Two years later he was hired by Barlow’s warehouse in Hazelton where he established many lifelong friendships. While at Barlow’s Larry married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Murphy. Over the next eight years they had five children: Larry, Peggy Jo, Carolyn, Dana and Bart. Larry’s most satisfying work was farming, so in 1963 he left Barlow’s and started farming on his own which he continued to do until he retired. Larry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Ann, his children Larry (Cindy) Sellers, Carolyn Nelson, Dana (Mike) Covington, and Bart Sellers (and friend Lori), his 10 grandchildren Kris (Robin) Sellers, Shara Berta, Anthony Sellers (and friend Amy), Ryon (Brooke) Covington, Danielle (JT) Ramondetta, Charlie Nelson, Jacob Nelson (and friend Sabrina), Kristi (Josh) Bashline, Amber Sellers (and friend Justin), and Ashley Goodro, 24 great grandchildren, brother Dan (Alvonia)Sellers, his sister Sandy (Gordon) Jenson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding Larry in death are his parents Frank & Alta Sellers, brother Wayne Sellers, daughter Peggy Jo Sellers, grandsons JD Covington and Andrew Sellers, great granddaughter Akasha Rose Nelson and son in law Mike Nelson. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Ippolito and Visions Hospice for their loving care. Cremation was performed by Rosenau Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
