Kathryn Marie (Hergenreder) Leonard received her wings on August 12, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Kathy was born on June 23, 1950 to Herman and Martha (Weber) Hergenreder in Greely, Colorado. The family moved to Heyburn, Id. when she was 14 years old. Kathy grew up on her parents farm and graduated from Minidoka County High School. She attended beauty school and earned a degree and started to cut hair and work numerous jobs. She then met the love of her life, Earl Leonard, and proceeded to marry him on October 30, 1976. They enjoyed every day together filled with laughter and love throughout their 42 years together. They both loved the outdoors and went on many camping, fishing, and hunting trips as well as vacations. Kathy was also a member of many bowling and dart leagues. Kathy started working at Minidoka County School district where she was a cook. Earl and Kathy moved to Nampa, Id. Kathy became a cook supervisor over numerous Nampa schools until she retired. Kathy was a loving soul and always ready to give any help when needed. She adored her grandchildren and would always have a smile on her face when they were around. Kathy is survived by sister Dorothy Sparks; son Ron (Brandee) Bradshaw; grandsons Brandon (Emma) Bradshaw, Easton Bradshaw, Jaxon Bradshaw. Kathy was proceeded in death by her husband Earl, her parents Herman and Martha, great grandson Hudson and brother-in-law Jerry Sparks. As per Kathy’s request no public services will be held.
