A Journey and tribute to a best friend…Karlene Rae “Caton” Adams from Barbara Williamson
As I sit and ponder my best friend Karlene, it makes me sad at the loss, but also grateful for the journey and our relationship.
Karlene Rae “Caton” Adams passed away March 8, 2024 early in the morning at Bridgeview Estates Care Center, Twin Falls Idaho; where she was a resident for over 11 years.
Karlene was born in Twin Falls Idaho on April 6, 1943 to Jack and Ethel Caton.
Karlene graduated from Twin Falls High School and had over a 30 year career with
Mountain Bell, US West and later known as Qwest.
Karlene was preceeded in death by her parents and a special Aunt and Uncle. Bud and Pauline Osborn.
Karlene is survived by her cousin Phil (Edith) Joslin of Pocatello, Idaho and many friends.
Karlene and Barbara met at Mountain Bell where their journey started.
Barbara was the one that stayed by her side and spent many years helping to care for her and oversee her care at Bridgeview Estates Care Center.
Barbara and Don and their family had been family to Karlene over the years as well as Jim and Susan Hamby.
Karlene’s loved ones would like to thank the staff and care givers at Bridgeview Estates for the care.
Karlene and Barbara loved to travel and do road trips together.
They had some crazy, fun and yes, some sad times together, but all through it they remained very close.
Karlene loved photography, traveling, BSU Football (only because Barbara did).
One of the many crazy things Karlene and Barbara decided to do was purchase scanners so they could monitor the goings on in Twin Falls. They would here something come over the scanner and one of them would jump in the car and pick up the other to get to the scene where they chased the ambulances together. They often arrived there before the police.
Yes, we were busy bodies!!
Life is a long adventure. It takes us places we could never imagine. Places that bring utter happiness and joy to our lives and some places that are rather dark. Throughout all the journeys we took, we met many people along the way that made it all worth it. These people may have only been in our lives for a short time, but the laughs and memories that we made together will be a part of us forever. That's the real beauty of our friendship.
Thank you Karlene for being my long time best friend!!
