Judy Seagraves passed away peacefully with her husband Jack by her side on Tuesday, January 9th at Grace Memory Care in Twin Falls after a long hard-fought battle against the ravages caused by Parkinsons Disease. She was 81.
Judy was born January 26, 1942, in Twin Falls to Hollis and Dorthea Walker. After graduating from Twin Falls High School, Judy moved to Hailey where she was employed at several places throughout the valley including for the Blaine County Welfare Assistance office, Sun Valley Company, Sears, Wrights Appliance, Blaine County School District, Legacy Antiques and the ASCS. She met and married Jack Seagraves on September 17, 1962.
Judy loved animals. She donated whatever she could to animal causes close to her heart. There was never a stray cat or dog that couldn’t count on Judy to take them in and find them a good home. From a young age she had an amazing connection with horses and had many throughout her life that were always very important to her. Animals and along with that add “stuff.” Judy had a vast array of collectibles of many different kinds. She loved her stuff.
Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack; their son Justin Seagraves of Dallas, TX; sister Darla Walker and niece Sheli Blandin of Boise, ID; and the lights of her life, grand daughters Hayden Seagraves of Hailey and Madison Seagraves of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her aunt Pauline Bird Dockstader. She was preceded in death by her parents and at the young age of 37, daughter Jacqie Seagraves Babcock.
We would like to thank the many individuals at Grace Memory Care and Hospice Visions that have helped Judy and the entire family the past several months. We would also like to thank family friend Rene Hafer who spent countless hours with Judy through many of the trials brought on by dementia caused from Parkinsons.
Arrangements have been made with Rosenau Funeral Home & Crematory of Twin Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
