With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Juan Porfidio Guzman, lovingly known as "Porfi," who was called home by our Heavenly Father on August 6, 2024, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Porfi was born on March 30, 1959, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Jose Catarino Guzman and Carmen Rodriguez Guzman.
In 1984, Porfidio moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he put down roots and found a welcoming community. Porfi quickly became a cherished member of this community, known for his generous spirit, love of food and his faith. On December 31, 1994, Porfi married Bertha Ortega of Michoacán, Mexico, and embraced the Ortega family as his own. Together, they built a rewarding life in Twin Falls. They would have celebrated 30 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Guzman, and four children, Lizbet Guzman, Jose Guzman, Miguel Guzman, Chelsea Guzman.
