Joseph Richard Wilcox was born September 16, 1931 in Montpelier, ID. On December 27, 2012 his battles with strokes and heart complications were finished and he entered into the joy of the Lord. Rich graduated from Murtaugh High School in 1951 marrying Patricia Detton that same year. He began working at Orange Transportation and continued 42 years in the trucking industry. He lived in Bellevue 14 years serving the Sun Valley area. A hard working man , he still had time to enjoy camping with family, hunting those South Hills where he resided and spending time with his beloved horse, Pi. He faithfully attended a Friday morning bible study for 15 years at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. Rich is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, his son John (Catherine), daughter Renee (Bob) Eldredge, grandchildren: Chancie (Bill) Kirk, Josh (Amy) Russell, Jake Russell, Lindsay (Jon) Ritz, Chanda (Josh) Ashmead, 11 great grandchildren, siblings: Glen (Ethel) Wilcox, Bob (Lucy) Wilcox, Betty Brown, Kay Brinker, Wendell Wilcox, Calvin (Ginny) Wilcox and Carol (Les) Laughter. He was preceded in death by his grandson Jeremy and baby brother, Paul. The family suggests memorials be given to the Rock Creek Rural Fire Dept. A viewing for Richard will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Sunday, December 30 at Rosenau Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 31st at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. Services are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.
