John Edward Rauma left this earthly home to go back and live with Heavenly Father on April 1, 2024. He struggled the past 10 years with nerve pain and Rheumatoid Arthritis that made walking difficult, but he didn’t ever give up….he just got new scooters that he terrified those around him with!! He passed away after a short illness and hospitalization. He was born on February 14, 1959. A Valentine Baby! He was born in the town of Red Lion Pennsylvania. He was born to Margaret Ann Slaughter and John Arthur Rauma. John was of Scottish, English and Finish ancestry. John grew up and went to school in Red Lion. He was a talented athlete, active in school activities such as drama and was the School Body President. As a young man, he moved to Louisiana to attend college. There he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission for the church in the France-Belgium-Brussels area. He is survived by his wife Susan, 5 children Jennifer, Caroline, Michael, Andy and Jesse and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Joseph and Mike Rauma and sister Mary Ann Geake. He moved from Hesperia California to Kimberly, Idaho 5 years ago. For the past 15 years he worked for World Wide Technologies as a Senior Security Enterprise Engagement consultant and engineer (affectionately known at home as a Computer Geek). He was known to be the king of the “Dad Jokes” to the amusement of many who followed him on Facebook. He was loved and respected both for his faithfulness to our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. He willingly shared his knowledge and love of learning the gospel with many. He was known for his willingness to always be of help to others. He is free from pain now and can walk without any aide and that is a great blessing for him!! We will miss him dearly until we can see each other again!
