Kimberly, Idaho

Jacqueline “Jackie” Jensen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Grace Memory Care in Twin Falls, ID.

Jackie was born April 2, 1932 to John Phillip “Jack” and Evelyn (Christensen) Willoughby in Evanston, Wyoming.

She attended school in Evanston Wyoming and Kemmerer Wyoming graduating in 1950. One of her most cherished memories during her high school years, was becoming Honored Queen of the Kemmerer’s Job’s Daughters.   During her senior year, Jackie started working at an auto parts store.

On July 20, 1952, she married Wilbert “Willie” Walter Jensen in Kemmerer, WY, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2004.    Together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.  They were blessed with 4 children - DeWayne, Rick, Jim and Karen.

Shortly after they were married Willie was drafted into the Army and Jackie went to work as a telephone operator.   In 1962, they moved to Buhl, ID and Jackie became a stay-at-home mom, but helped Willie in his side business of Jensen’s Janitorial Service.  In 1999, Jackie and Willie moved to Kimberly, ID when Willie’s health declined.  She resided there until moving into Grace Assisted Living in Twin Falls, ID and was transferred to Grace Memory Care earlier this year.

Jackie’s greatest joy was being around kids.  She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a Blue Bird/Camp Fire Girls leader, and held various positions in the Buhl Job’s Daughters.    She also enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, crocheting, cooking and reading.  Jackie will always be remembered for being a giving person and taking care of others.

Jackie is survived by her two sisters, Geraldine “Jerry” Hill of Provo, UT and Helen Shostakoski of Las Vegas, NV.  Her children:  DeWayne Jensen of Kimberly, ID; Richard (Kathy) Jensen of Spring Creek, NV; James Jensen of Kent, WA and Karen (Dennis) Knapp of Buhl, ID.  Her Grandchildren:  Chantal (Jerald) Robinson, Jacob (Shalyn) Jensen and Tosha Blair.  Her Great Grandchildren:  Alessa Jensen, Keston Jensen, Christopher Robinson, Riley Robinson, Mariah Fisher and Madison Fisher.  A great great granddaughter Ruby Robinson and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
