Holly Grimsman

July 28, 1981 — July 2, 2023

Holly Elaine Grimsman was welcomed home by the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 2, 2023. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, we are assured of His love and salvation and draw comfort in the promise He made.

Holly, 41, was born July 28, 1981. Her parents, Bill and Suzanne Philips, raised Holly in Christ and taught her that she was a special child of God. Holly lived her life as such and never lost her firm faith in her Creator.

Holly was diagnosed at the age of 17 with lupus and numerous other autoimmune diseases. Despite her physical hardships, countless surgeries and endless challenges, she still made others a priority and put her pain to the side to show that the Lord was her strength. Holly accepted the pain and trials, and said her experiences were necessary to give others hope. She did all this with the most amazing smile on her face and a loving attitude.

Holly married her soulmate, August Grimsman, on October 4, 2008. Holly was blessed with two young boys, Hunter and Noah, through this union. Though Holly’s body was never able to carry a child, her dreams of being a mom were fulfilled when she became a bonus mom to Hunter and Noah. All could see the love was mutual and she took great pride in raising two amazing young men.

Holly was born in Grand Prairie, TX, but spent the majority of her life in Twin Falls. After graduating from Twin Falls High School she worked for a few dental offices and cherished her coworkers and patients. When her health did not allow her to work outside the home, she turned her focus to her family. She took great pride in caring daily for her husband and boys. She would make sure their lunches were packed and always included a Bible verse and loving note. Holly spent time with her family hunting, fishing, camping, reading, watching movies and just being with those she loved. Holly loved all animals, especially her dogs. Holly was the first to offer help to her extended family, spending countless hours with her sisters, nieces and nephews.

Holly is survived by her husband of 15 years, August Grimsman; sons, Hunter and Noah Grimsman; parents, William and Suzanne Philips; Grandad Robert Philips; sister Heather (Trevor) Abrams; sister Margaret (Tyler) Perry; parents-in-law Thomas and Susan Grimsman; sister-in-law Sossity (Douglas) Grubbs; nephews Zack Abrams, Isaac Adams, Daniel Perry, and Konrad Grubbs; nieces Hope Adams, Elizabeth Abrams, Elora Grubbs, Hannah Perry, and Julia Perry; her Dutch Bros. family; and numerous other family and friends. Holly was preceded in death by her grandfather Henry Ellis Singley and grandmothers Mildred Gertrude Singley and Barbara Philips.

Holly will always be remembered for bringing others closer to the Lord. She could take lemons and make lemonade because she was the sweet ingredient necessary. Though her life was short, her impact was great and we are blessed to have had the experience of basking in her bright light. Holly’s faith was rock-solid and we praise the Lord for that comfort.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please contact Rosenau Funeral Home to direct any donations in Holly’s name.
