Helga Pesendorfer was born in Linz, Austria on July 21, 1924 to Werner Pesendorfer and Wulfhilde Veitl Pesendorfer. She attended Handelsacadamie business college in Linz.
As WWII ended, Helga worked as an interpreter for the American troops and met Rollins Anderson. She came to the United States in June 1947 and married Rollins. They were married for 9 years. She was the first war bride in Twin Falls. Her parents moved to the area in October 1951.
A few years after their divorce, she met Theodore Sturgill while working at the Land Bank. They married on October 1, 1963, and were married for 40 years until Ted passed on January 25, 2004. She called Ted the love of her life.
Together, they worked hard and played hard. They loved farming and ranching together, as well as fishing and camping. She was a lover of animals large and small, and they had many pets over the years.
She is survived by Ted's two children, Lois Sturgill Willis and Eugene Hart Sturgill, 10 step grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
A Jehovah's Witness memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall on Saturday at 4:30. A viewing will take place Sunday from 6-8 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial.
