Hal P. Kincaid

Hal P. Kincaid, 90, of Twin Falls passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home. Hal was born 10/15/20 in Morganton, North Carolina the son of John Robey and Nonnie Duckworth Kincaid. When Hal was 6 months old the family moved to Hansen, Idaho in the spring of 1921. He attended school in a one room schoolhouse in the Rock Creek area through his sophomore year. His family moved to Hazelton and he graduated from Hazelton High School in 1938. He attended Boise Business College during the depression and worked various jobs to support himself. After school he worked for Morrison-Knudson part-time. One month after being employed fulltime by Morriso0knudson Pearl Harbor was attacked and Hal enlisted in the Army Air Force at Gowen Field in Boise. During his time in the service he became a flight instructor at Mather Field in Sacrament, CA. on the B-25 aircraft. He married the love of his life Janet Tretheway on May 16, 1943. After the being discharged from the military Hal and Janet moved to Stockton, CA. which was where Janet was from. He became employed with a firm (Hickinbotham Bros Ltd) owned by a local family in Stockton. He was hired as an accountant and was later promoted to credit manager and then became treasurer of the corporation. After working for them for 40 years he retired on 12/31/85. After retirement Hal and Janet traveled and played golf. In September of 1991 they moved to Twin Falls, Id to be near family. Hal is survived by his daughter Judith Kincaid McGaha of Twin Falls; brother Ray (Ellen) Kincaid of Hazelton; sister Johnsie Kincaid of Twin Falls; nieces and nephews Patty (Lynn) Lee, Gary (Rose Kincaid, Brian (Christy) Kincaid, Gerri (Russ) Baker and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, his parents, 2 brothers, Levon and Howard, 2 nephews Bob and Jim Kincaid. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Reflections of History Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Park.
