Glenda Joyce Brown, 70, of Twin Falls Idaho, passed away peacefully in her home on May 28th, 2024. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on October 30th, 1953 to Bernard and Frances Wetzstein, the 4th child out of 11 brothers and sisters.

In 1998, Glenda started a new life with Bob Schwertfeger, becoming a grandmother figure to Bob's grandchildren. She was a devoted mother to all of her children and their spouses, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was an enthusiastic gardener, and spent many happy hours tending to her flowers. If she wasn’t in the garden, then she could be found in her sewing room. She loved creating both practical and elegant garments for her loved ones, especially dresses fit for a princess for the little girls in her life. She also loved to travel and make memories with her loved ones and was always looking forward to the next adventure.

She worked in the health care industry for many years, and in 1999 she obtained her RN, knowing it was her life’s calling.Throughout her career, she was known for her kindness, compassion and understanding.

In 2012, Glenda was diganosed with cancer. In early 2013, she experienced complications from chemotherapy treatment that resulted in challenges for the rest of her life. After a recovery stay in the hospital, she she moved in with her daughter Grace and her husband, Steven. Glenda’s years in their home were filled with laughter, tears, many life lessions, but above all… Love!

Glenda will be greatly missed by her sweetheart Robert Schwertfeger, her son and his wife, Christopher and Kristina Leader, their children (Rachel Faye, Joseph Christopher, Oliver James), her daughter and her husband Grace and Steven Sweatfield and their Daughter (Arya Joann). She will be remembered by her Stepchildren, Stepgrandchildren, her siblings; Patsy Foster (Bob), Arnold Wetzstein (Shawn Lee), Allan Wetzstein (Eileen), Constance Brezinski (Tom), Sister-in-Law Melanie Wetzstein (Darrell), Pamela Gore (Larry), Karen Shulz (Mike), Cecil Wetzstein (Shanna), Bernice McCreery (Jamie), nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones.
