Glen Allen Breeding was born March 21, 1933 in Filer, Idaho to John Robert and Mary Breeding. He passed away on November 18, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.
Glen graduated from Murtaugh High School where he played football, basketball and ran track. He married his high school sweetheart, Sadie Boswell Bessire, in 1952. After graduation, he attended Nampa Business College and became a telegrapher in the Army stationed in Tokyo, Japan.
Upon returning home from the Army he farmed with his family for over 60 years east of Murtaugh, where he taught his children and grandchildren the value of doing a job right the first time!
Glen and Sadie enjoyed serving as members of the Pomerelle Ski Patrol for over thirty years. Glen received his National Ski Patrol number in 1974. He served as Ski Patrol Director and was head of Testing & Training for 15 yrs. He received the Distinguished Service Award and taught his children and grandchildren to ski; some before they were two years old!
Glen had a strong Christian faith as seen by the way he loved his wife, raised his children, worked hard and gave a helping hand to anyone in need.
He served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Artesian Irrigation District for many years. He was a member of the Crossroads Methodist Church having served on the Building Team and many other committees.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Sadie Marie Breeding; daughters, Shelly (Brian) Ward, Tamy (Doug) Perkins; son, Scott (Diana) Breeding; brother, Ralph (Pat) Breeding; six grandchildren (Cole, Nathan, Tanyn Sage, Danielle, Bridger, Kelsey) and four great granddaughters.
