Gerald (Jerry) Romans, 81 of Twin Falls passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at St Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born August 26, 1929 in Twin Falls the son of Charles Morton and Martena Nicolena Romans. Jerry graduated from Jerome High School in 1948. In 1951 he joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1954. Jerry attended Twin Falls Business College. On April 14, 1957 Jerry married Sandra Scott. Jerry worked for the Twin Falls County Weed Bureau, J. R. Simplot Co., Cenex and was the manager of the Curry Co-op. He retired from Haney Seed in 1994. Jerry enjoyed gardening and his green house. He was a member of the American Legion Post #47 where he served as Commander and Treasurer. He also was a member of the Filer Kiwanis Club where he had been a past President and a member of the Filer United Methodist Church. Jerry is survived by his wife Sandra (Scott) Romans of Filer, ID; his children Patrick Romans, Filer, ID, Jeffrey (Cinda) Romans, Spokane, WA, and Michele Dameron, Filer, ID; grandchildren Jeremiah Dameron and his fiancé Amy Yancey and 2 adopted great-grandchildren Joshua Knowles and Hailey Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents, 13 brothers and sisters and a son Brian Romans. The family suggests memorials be given to the Filer American Legion, % Dave Gaither, P. O. Box 320, Filer, ID 83228. Inurnment will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Sunset Memorial park with Memorial Services at 11 AM at Rosenau Funeral Home, Twin Falls. Military rites will be done by the Idaho Army Honor Guard and the Magic Valley Area Veterans.
