Georgia Ann Toothman

Georgia Ann Toothman, 55, was called home on May 3rd, 2016. She was at her home in Filer, surrounded by her family. Georgia was born December 18, 1960 in Jackson, California to her mother, Melba Thornton. In 2005, Georgia was married to her partner of 35 years, Richard. Together they raised their five children. What brought Georgia most joy was being a mother and grandma. She put her family first and in doing so, was a great example to her children. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and spending time with her sister, Linda. Georgia was a member at the Filer First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing softball for the church team, and helping out anywhere she could. Georgia had an excitement for life that was infections. To know Georgia, was to love her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and faith. She will be deeply missed. Georgia is preceded in death by her mother Melba. She is survived by her husband Richard; five children, Jeremy (Brittney), Nicole, Kimberly (Dustin), Elizabeth, and Jack her stepchildren; Jason, Zach, and Richelle (Frank) her siblings; Diana, Linda, Louie, David, and Kenny. Georgia leaves behind her many nieces and nephews. Also, her grandbabies; who brought so much joy into her life. A Celebration of Life will be held May 10, at the Filer First Baptist Church (254 US-30). The celebration will begin at 11. The family thanks each prayer that was said for Georgia as she fought her battle with cancer. Services are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
