Hey, guys don’t be sad because I am not here with you. I have gone fishing with my brothers and all my friends in a place where there is no sorrow. As you lay my weary body to rest I only want you to remember all the good things and happy times we all had together. On August 14, 2016 after eighty beautiful years I have gone home to be with my heavenly Father and family. I will stand guard at those beautiful gates and wait for everyone’s arrival, so once again we can all be together. In 1961 I married by soulmate who bore me three of the most wonderful fantastic children. My family stood by my side as I served my country for 20 years in the United States Navy. We were never rich in monetary value but oh so rich in love, respect and kindness. Until we are all together once again I leave my wife Janice “Jeannie” of 55 years. My three children Daniel (Holly), Donald (Nancy) both of Twin Falls, my daughter Kimberly Groothuis (Gary) of Blaine WA, my brothers Weldon, Ed and John of Idaho and Raymond of Sequim, WA, my sisters Shirley and Debbie of Twin Falls and Barbara in WA. I was blessed with twelve grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. I was preceded in death by my father Kirby Sr., mother Mildred, brothers Kirby Jr, Delbert, Joe and David, and my sisters Loretta, Peggy and Delores. So, everyone this is not good-bye but see you later in our permanent home that is forever. There will be a short service at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Filer Ave. on Saturday August 27, 2016 at 2:00pm and an open house will follow at 925 Wirsching Ave. W to share memories of the good times we have had. Please no flowers. If possible donate to the Special Olympics, Hospice Visions or to any organization that helps underprivileged children. Services are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
SEE YOU! Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
