Fredrick (Fred) Carlton Ott, 75, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on August 27, 2017, at his home from complications of cancer.
Fred was born on January 18, 1942, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Crawford and NaDene (Hagler) Ott. He resided in Twin Falls all his life graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1960. He later earned a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1965. He married the love of his life, Nita (Janssen) Ott, on March 23, 1985. Together they had one son, Carl.
Fred was a proud member of the Idaho Air National Guard, Lions Club, Rotary, Twin Falls Jaycees, and many other organizations around the Magic Valley. Fred was employed with Twin Falls Bank and Trust for 24 years until the bank was sold. He later worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2005. Fred loved gardening, bowling, car races, traveling, and his family.
Fred is survived by his wife, Juanita (Nita) of Twin Falls; son Carl of Bend, Oregon; step-daughter, Crystal Ayers (Brian) and granddaughter, Kaitlynn, all of Twin Falls; sister Marsha (Ernie) Witucki of Lakewood, Colorado; his special Aunt Marge Hagler of Jerome; numerous nieces and nephews; extended Janssen family; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister Merilynn Beer, half-sister Gail Ann Malberg, nephew Matthew Beer, in-laws Earl and Helen Janssen, sister-in-law Valerie Simpson, and brother-in-laws Bill Meyer and Bruce Janssen.
The family would like to thank Dr. Manning and the staff of St Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute as well as the staff with Hospice Visions for their care.
