Forrest Eugene Ray

Forrest Eugene Ray passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. This was a result of injuries sustained in a fall at a construction site on April 16, 2012. He was born October 4, 1955 in Tribune, Greeley County, Kansas to Russell and Selma (Carlson) Ray. His father preceded him on February 3, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Selma Ray, Sun City, AZ.; sister, Doris Ray, Omaha, NE; sister, Joyce Huddleston and her husband Jerry Huddleston, Tribune, KS; and nephews, Douglas and David Huddleston. Forrest graduated from Greeley County High School in 1973, Dodge City Community College, 1976, Emporia State University, 1978 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX in 1986 with a masters in Divinity. He was the pastor of churches in Walden, CO, Elko, NV area and Jackpot, NV prior to moving to Twin Falls, ID. Forrest worked for the Twin Falls School District in maintenance and security. He was a member of The First Nazarene Church, Twin Falls, ID and he was an avid photographer and love making treks into the beautiful mountains near Twin Falls. He also enjoyed looking at the stars and planets through his telescope and at the observatory. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the First Nazarene Church, Twin Falls, ID. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, KS on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice. Services are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
